Peter Luan

Peter is the Director and co-founder of Fort Healthcare

Qualification Peter graduated from his Bachelor of Chiropractic Science in 2006 and then completed his Masters of Chiropractic at Macquarie University in 2008.
Experience Peter also has over ten years worth of remedial massage and soft tissue manipulation experience in addition to his Chiropractic skills.
Specialities Peter’s focus is on sports injury, chronic postural imbalances and shoulder conditions such as frozen shoulder and impingement. He has extensive experience dealing with injuries arising from basketball, dancing, volleyball, weightlifting and running.
Location Peter is currently practicing at Fort Healthcare Campsie and Fort Healthcare Hurstville.
Interests After a knee injury that kept him inactive for 2.5 years, Peter is seeking to continually push the boundaries of his body to allow for a greater understanding of movement and human body. He has continued to improve in old hobbies such as basketball and weightlifting while learning new skills such as parkour, gymnastics and sailing.

Zhen (Zane) Ma

Zane is the Director and co-founder of Fort Healthcare

Qualification  Zane graduated from his Bachelor of Chiropractic Science in 2006 and then completed his Masters of Chiropractic at Macquarie University in 2008
Experience Zane undertook further study under renowned Chinese doctor, Dr En Kun Chong in Kogarah. Under Dr Chong’s tutelage, Zane developed a method that combined the principles of Chinese Medicine and Chiropractic to help the patient achieve longer lasting results with minimal discomfort.
Specialities He has a special interest in treating and rehabiltating lower back conditions (acute and chronic) such as sciatica, disc injury or herniations and its effect on surrounding musculature.
Location Zane is currently practicing at Fort Healthcare Burwood, Fort Healthcare Campsie and Fort Healthcare Hurstville.
Interests Zane’s main hobby is weightlifting where his work ethic allows him to continually strive to improve himself.

 

 

Richard Tran

Qualification Richard completed his Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science in 2011 and went on to complete the Master of Physiotherapy program in 2013 at the University of Sydney
Specialities With interest in musculoskeletal and sporting injuries, he aims to provide tailored treatment programs using a combination of soft tissue/joint mobilisation techniques, massage and exercise prescription to patients in order to achieve their short and long term goals.
Location Richard is currently practicing at Fort Healthcare Hurstville and Fort Healthcare Burwood.
Interests With his background in Exercise Science and being a competitive Oztag player himself, he believes in empowering patients to take control over their own recovery through individualised exercise programs.

Adrian Wong

Qualification Adrian Wong completed his Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) at the University of Sydney.
Experience He is highly motivated in providing patient centred care in his sessions and has a keen interest in treating musculoskeletal pain and injuries, particularly those of the back, neck and shoulder.
Specialities Adrian handles a lot of patients who were injured at work or were involved in accidents. These conditions are often complex and will often affect not only the physical state but mentally as well. He provides a clear treatment and management plan to help the patient return to their optimal state.
Location Adrian is currently practicing at Fort Healthcare Campsie.
Interests Adrian believes in the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle and mind especially in chronic pain, and hopes to inspire and assist others back to full health.

Brett Liu

Qualification Brett graduated from the University of Western Sydney with a Bachelor of Health Science/Master of Physiotherapy.
Experience Having previously worked as a sports trainer for Sports Medicine Australia, Brett has experience covering different sporting events with athletes of various competition levels. He is also the physiotherapist for his local AFL team, St. George Dragons.
Specialities He has a keen interest in treating musculoskeletal and sports related injuries with a focus on patient specific, exercise based rehabilitation.
Location Brett is currently practicing at Fort Healthcare Hurstville.

Jackie Chau

Qualification Jackie completed a Bachelor of Health Science in 2012 before graduating with a Master of Physiotherapy in 2014 from the University of Sydney.
Specialities Jackie believes in empowering patients with knowledge so that they can better understand their condition and how to look after their health. He not only emphasises exercises but also teaches strategies to employ these exercises in day to day life.
Location Jackie is currently practicing at Fort Healthcare Hurstville
Interests Jackie treats a lot of elderly patients and improves their ability to do day to day tasks as well as reducing the risk of failing. In his spare time Jackie enjoys hiking and spending time in nature.

Sarah Kew

Qualification Sarah graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Monash University before completing her Master of Physiotherapy and Graduate Certificate in Human Movement at the University of Canberra.
Experience She has experience working with a variety of clients, having worked at an aged care, hospital, and private clinic setting. Sarah has spent a few years doing sports coverage where she gained her competence in advanced sports taping as well as acute injuries prevention and management. She has previously worked as a level 2 sports trainer with Sports Medicine Australia and various sporting teams including AFL, soccer and netball.
Location Sarah is practicing at Fort Healthcare Campsie and Fort Healthcare Hurstville.
Interests Sarah has a keen interest in musculoskeletal conditions, acute sport injuries, and orthopaedic rehabilitation. She takes a holistic approach in helping patients recover and achieve independence. She believes in delivering effective treatment program that ensues long-term benefits incorporating soft-tissue release, dry needling, joint mobilisation, and home exercise program. During her free time, she enjoys rock climbing, cycling and bushwalking.
